Rules & IMP Info

IMP Instructions Following are some IMP instructions for the trek. You are requested to read the same. RULES: Climbing the Mountain is definitely an enjoyable adventure, provided we all follow some discipline. One must follow these basic rules strictly so that the outdoors can be enjoyed in a safe way:   1] Mountains are a place of abundant natural beauty. Hence, it is our duty to keep them free of garbage. So please do not litter . Use of plastic is banned in the state of Uttarakhand.   2] Trekking is a healthy activity. So any unhealthy habit like Smoking is strictly prohibited. Consumption of alcohol, tobacco and drugs is also banned. These habits could prove to be fatal for you or your trek buddies. Checklist

Trekking Kit 1. Rucksack (~60L) with sturdy straps, supporting frame and raincover . 2. Day pack (Small Bag) ~10L 3. Trekking shoes – (We recommend high ankle trekking shoes with good grip on wet surfaces from Campus/Coasters/Quipco/Quechua) DO NOT WEAR SPORT SHOES. 4. Trekking pole is strongly recommended. 5. Headlamp / LED Torch with extra set of batteries 6. Tiffin Box, Mug, Spoon 7. Tissue Paper – Wet & Dry 8. Waterproof (Synthetic) gloves and Woollen gloves. 9. Sun glasses – Wraparound ones will cover your eyes well. Prefer Polarised Sunglasses as they are good at blocking the glare from shiny surfaces. Sunglasses prevent snow blindness. People who wear spectacles can opt for ‘powered sunglasses’ or choose 'Photochromatic glasses' (Avoid Blue coloured sunglasses as they don’t block UV.) 10. SAFETY Protocols

Safety Protocols A] In context of Covid Scenario: 1. Mandatory Criteria: Fully Vaccinated Certificate OR First Dose OR RT-PCR OR Rapid Antigen test (72hrs) will be mandatory criteria for trek participants. 2. Vaccination status of our team/support staff: Our trek lead from Mumbai is fully vaccinated. Local support staff is also undergoing vaccination. We will ensure a safe environment for our participants. 3. Stay arrangements : All accommodations will be on double or triple sharing basis while on the Trek and on Quad-sharing basis in Rishikesh. If any participant wants to have single occupancy, it will be arranged at an extra cost. B] In context of Emergency situations: 1. We are equipped with first aid kit, Oxymeter, BP machine, Oxygen Can, Thermometer. Each day we will be taking note of Temperature, O2 & BP levels of all the participants and participants will be allowed to proceed to the higher camp only if their readings are found satisfactory.
